Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice
Bluebell Wood is a very special place that provides care and support for babies, children, and young people and families who are affected by a life limiting or life-threatening condition. All their services are completely free for families.
A children’s hospice isn’t just about end-of-life care - it’s about living well, every day.
Children’s hospices like Bluebell Wood support babies, children and young people with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions to make the most of life, whatever time they have.
Care is holistic, meaning it looks after the whole child and the whole family - not only medical needs, but emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing too.
Families can visit for short breaks, symptom management, therapies, play, counselling, sibling support and memory-making. Some children come for many years, growing up with a team who knows and understands them.
The focus is on comfort, dignity, choice and joy - helping families to live fully, make precious memories, and feel supported through every stage of their journey, from diagnosis through to bereavement and beyond.
Bluebell Wood supports families across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire, and North Lincolnshire.
