Alicia Sansome

Role within the CYP Alliance

I am the Clinical Director for the CYP Alliance, I provide clinical leadership, advice and engagement to foster a culture of multi-professional engagement in service improvement. I provide system leadership to improve collaboration and engagement with system colleagues to share best practice and deliver ambitious programmes to transform and improve services for CYP and Families across South Yorkshire

Why does it matter?

I am passionate about improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities in health and recognise that the most effective way to do this is to start as early in life as possible. Establishing healthy behaviours is easier and more effective during childhood and adolescence than trying to change unhealthy behaviours in adulthood.

My impact

Underpinning all of my professional roles has been my drive and passion to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities, in particular for children and young people. I believe that my ability to communicate this passion has been instrumental in my success in managing and leading muti agency partners to design and deliver care pathways and health and care services.

Something a bit different…

When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, I enjoy watching live music and have more recently become a fan of cricket, especially in sunny climates.
